Hi, we have only been in our home for about 1 mth. I'm beginning to enjoy my new home as I'm still in the process of unpacking! I would say our experience was both fun and challenging! Working with Chris and Pattie was easy. They tried their best to accommodate us when we had questions and concerns! And boy did we have questions every week! Lol Being a home owner for the 4th time makes you more aware of how things should be done! After being the general contractor for our previous home we were very concerned and always had questions. They tried their best to give an explanation or make it right! We love the layout and have gotten many compliments! Melissa at the design center was easy and fun to work with! She was very helpful and pleasant Wee appreciate all they have done. Now it's time for us to make it our home! Thanks Chris, Pattie and Melissa

Atlantic builders was great to work with up until after we closed. Since we closed we have had 2 trees fall in our front yard feet from hitting our home. They cleared just enough land the build our house and did not consider 100+ foot pine trees becoming deforested which results in weak root systems. The first time I reached out and was told basically not their problem, after a few phone calls they assisted in splitting the bill to have some high risk trees removed from the side yard to protect my and my neighbors home from tree damage. Another tree fell and now it’s not their problem again. So I’ve already submitted my survey, but was unable to mention this. I am told the county decides on the land clearing lines, but I find that hard to believe. It’s just a matter of time before a tree falls on my house. 4-5 stars for everything else.

What a fantastic experience. Professional when needed, personable when appropriate, and their impeccable attention to detail. Mike, Amanda, Debbie, Olivia, Melissa, and the entire team were a DREAM to work with. We recommend this builder to anyone who asks us for a recommendation. We started our adventure with Atlantic Builders after playing the bidding wars game with pre-existing homes, and feeling like all of our options led us compromising and spending way more money than we wanted to. I stumbled across Atlantic Builders and saw that they were offering a home nearly identical to our "dream home", and we could build it on TEN ACRES! That was a year ago, and our home was just completed. The problem with seeing how the sausage is made is that you see the gross parts too, and we saw some gross parts. There were some pretty big problems that we thought we would have to come up with a compromise and learn to live with. But in each and every case, our project manager, Mike, was able to come up with creative solutions to fix the problem in such a way that if we hadn't seen the sausage being made, we would have never know there was a problem to begin with. Atlantic Builders Design Center was fantastic. Melissa helped us out and guided us toward fulfilling OUR vision, not pushing her own on us. She made suggestions that would complement what we were going for, and it turned out fantastic. Absolutely beautiful. We are "those people", super involved in the build process far deeper than we probably have any business being. I asked 15-20 questions every single week when we started. These tapered off a bit as I learned everything there was to know about building a home, but the entire time, Amanda answered my questions professionally and with a smile on her face (or in her emails). I tried so hard to stump her with impossible questions, and only managed to do so once. She reached out and found the answer, so you won't stump her again! I have been very impressed with the quality across the board. Mike and Amanda and their teams went to great lengths to make sure that everything we asked for we got, and every nit we picked was addressed. Highly recommend. It was a fantastic experience.

Extremely poor quality craftsmanship and low quality materials. First of all, they threw construction waste all over the lawn before they put down the sod. Of course when we closed it looked okay. But I spent the first few years digging up boards, shingles, and other garbage from the lawn as spots of grass died above it. I found a 10 inch stack of shingles buried just under the surface, along with plywood, 2x4's and other assorted waste. I couldn't even plant anything in some of the flower beds because it was gravel right underneath the mulch that the landscaper put down. Craftsmanship is awful. Granted, we could have pointed it out at closing, but we did it via power of attorney because we were overseas. Corners aren't square, and we had to replace faucet fixtures after only a few years. The wiring throughout the entire house is erratic, unprofessional, and makes no sense. The circuit breaker panel is barely labeled, and incorrect. We had to have a circuit rerun due to some issues, and they had to rip up drywall in SEVEN rooms just for one path. For instance, lights in one room are on the breaker that feeds wall outlets on the other side of the house. When I have to do electrical work, I just shut off the main breaker instead of trying to find what breaker feeds the particular circuit I'm working on. The fact that this house even passed inspection is disgraceful. My main complaint is the siding. We have now had to have major siding replaced THREE times in three different locations in 20 years. On the first occurrence, the guy who fixed it said the quality of the installation was poor. That was confirmed later when we lost it in two more locations. On the last occurrence, the contractor noted that the siding is not nailed to studs. I'm not sure if this is a code violation, but even if it's not, it's another example of extremely poor craftsmanship that we ended up paying a considerable amount of money for over the years. I guess you get what you pay for. Atlantic Builders builds cheap, low quality homes with inferior materials and embarrassingly bad craftsmanship.

Good company who cares about customer satisfaction. I recently purchased a new construction home from Atlantic Builders. I was pleased and fully satisfied with all phases of the sales and construction team processes. They were very professional and showed concern for the customer at all times. The home was completed on time as promised. Thanks to Atlantic Builders for a job well done! We love our home and highly recommend Atlantic Builders to others!!
